View From Here: Tourism in Mosul Reveals Resiliency on Iraq’s Nineveh Plains -- A few weeks ago we shared a story from contributor, Ellie Ingram, an American living in Iraqi-Kurdistan. Sharing a newfound appreciation for Iraqi culture, with a tourist group she explores the region and introduces us to Mosul and it's inhabitants, called Maslawis in Arabic. Through a connection with the people and place Ingram takes us on a journey of dualities such beauty and loss, joy and pain -- all part of the lives in this region which we are given the opportunity to see through her experience.

View from Here: Adulting at Disney -- In this weeks article out Creative Director, JC Johnson, takes us on a tour of Disney World (Orlando, FL) as she celebrated a birthday. Sharing her experience also provides an opportunity to discuss the concept of "Disney Adults", a devout fan of the company and generally it's entertainment and media -- a subculture who in 2022 Rolling Stone referred to as, "the Most Hated Group on the Internet". Though as we've seen in recent years Disney has stood up against far right politics and continued to create joyful content during times of unprecedented turmoil and change. Just maybe, these adults have the right mindset afterall.
